Child and adolescent assessments:

The socio-emotional assessments focusses on various systems in the child’s living word, and the child’s emotional experience of these systems. The assessment aims to identify and understand how various factors contributes to the child’s emotional experience in order to make recommendations in the child’s best interest.

Play therapy:

A form of counselling or psychotherapy in which play is use as a means of helping children express or communicate their feelings. Play therapy is often used after an assessment when a certain problem is identified and especially when parents got divorced.

Attachment therapy:

Attachment therapy is a directive, structured therapeutic process that aims to facilitate the strengthening and reconstruction of the bond between a child and his primary caregiver.

Interactional analysis:

Process through which parent-child interacting is observed and evaluate according to a theoretical framework.

Family therapy:

This is a technique that is used to help families to solve any problems / issues they may experience.

Parental guidance

Parental guidance is given to assist a parent/s when they experience behaviour problems with their child.

Divorce counselling

This technique is used to assist a person after divorce to deal with any issues they may experience.

Mediation and parenting plans

When parents cannot come to an agreement regarding visitations to the other parent, or other issues, mediation can be used. After parents have come to an agreement through mediation, a parenting plan can be drafted that will be made an order of court.

Psycho legal investigations into primary residence and / or contact

A complete investigation will be done in matters where primary residency or shared residency should be determined.

A referral from an attorney or court order is needed before this investigation can commence.

Supervised visits between parents and children

When parents don't have contact with their child, or when another parent feels that the child is in danger, supervised visits can be arranged.
